The mission of World Kidney Day is to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. TCSWAT and GITRAD, in colloboration with Turkish Society of Nephrology-Istanbul Branch, will be on the air as TC2012WKD on March 8, 2012. Activity on HF bands will be on CW-BPSK31-SSTV and SSB. Stations making contacts on three or more bands or modes will recieve a special award via e-mail. Details about World Kidney Day is in http://www.worldkidneyday.org/. QSL via TA Incoming QSL Bureau or via TCSWAT.

For CQ WPX SSB 2012, as ZA1TC callsign has now been issued once more to TA1HZ for the period of 23-26 March 2012. He will be once more travelling to Durres, Albania and with the kind support of ZA1FD Fatos Demeti he will be on the air with ZA prefix. Equipment will be similar to September 2011 WAE SSB Contest work, with the Kenwood TS570D and Windom FD4 antenna. During his spare time from the contest he will try to work some PSK31, especially on 30m band.

We are proud to anonunce that our application for a posthumous DXCC award for TA2J (SK) has been accepted and (to our knowledge) he has become the first HAM to receive DXCC award after his death during the last two decades.

Special Notice for QSL cards : TCSWAT qsls 100% via bureau. The usual delivery time is end of June at the Friedrichshafen Messe. If you are not in a hurry, please wait for it. The cards are printed usually twice a year (May and December) so it is usually of no use to send in a direct request right after the activity. If you use www.eqsl.cc the logs are uploaded to the database right after the activities.
